Even the antivirus is saying that it is protecting your system but is it really protecting your system. EICAR have made a file to check if your antivirus is working or not. Most of the antivirus detect it and name is as EICAR TEST VIRUS but some other antivirus can name it other too. To see if antivirus is working or not make this file(AND YES IT IS COMPLETELY SAFE. IT'S JUST A TEST FILE IT WON'T HARM YOUR COMPUTER) copy this code and paste it in the notepad:

you can save is as test.txt or any with any format, then scan this and if your antivirus detects it as virus is surely is working and if it doesn't make sure that to install other quickly. :)
